This is an early morning rise! Students are expected to arrive at the event completely ready to perform. Hair must be neat and pulled off the face. Closed-toed clean, flexible shoes.  *The event coordinator will not allow students backstage without the proper shoes.  Wear flexible solid black pants and Sears Studio t-shirts. *We are waiting on the shipment and will get the shirts to you as soon as possible. The shirts can be purchased for $10.00.  If you do not care to purchase a shirt, we will loan one to your child for the performance.

 

Universal Performance/ Workshop

Directions

Enter the school at Oak Ridge Road, not the other entrance, as that may be closed.  When you enter the school, turn Left and follow the signs directing you to the Performing Arts Center. You will drop off there then your busses will move to the parking area.  Our staff will be there to greet you upon your arrival.   *If you are arriving by car, there are plenty of parking spots outside the performing arts center.

Arrive on time and look for us –

We proceed to the warm-up room.

 

9:00 am Performance/ Workshop

The entire group will perform The Thinks You Can Think, and Horton Hears a Who. We finish with Emma and Gigi- the duet- Alone in the Universe. The judges will give us feedback and a professional workshop.  They will also present us with our scores

 

9:30 am Performance/Workshop Complete

The students will be released to your care. We hope you enjoy the park, play in the hotel pools, enjoy City Walk or whatever else your family has planned.

Meeting Up-

We will be at Cabana Bay Friday and Saturday nights. I will arrive Friday afternoon. If you arrive before dinner on Friday, maybe we will see you by the pool. It is my understanding that anyone staying at any of the Universal Resorts can use their hotel key to enjoy any other Universal pool facilities. Pool hopping sounds fun, but you might want to walk or hop on the riverboat to a nearby resort to avoid outrageous parking fees.  We are looking forward to an exciting and super fun weekend! :)
